London's long running club, Blow Up, will be throwing a couple of rare Stateside parties next weekend. Friday the 11th they'll be in NYC at 200 Orchard Street. Saturday, Dec. 12th, they'll jump westward to hit Clubhouse 24 in Sacramento. Click here for more info.
Besides the club, there is also the very groovy Blow Up record label. In fact, they put out one of my all time favorite compilations, Blow Up A-Go-Go!: Dancefloor Classics From The Legendary Blow Up Club
(pictured above), which I never DJ without. Besides that, they've released fantastic sides from the Bongolian, Big Boss Man, and many others. If you're into an uptempo-funky-mod vibe these are artists worth checking out. And of course the parties!
