Gibson Girls...Finally! Coming soon to a website near you...

I spent last night with old friends Ozzie & Med, lead guitarist and bassist respectfully, of our old band the Gibson Girls (drummer Mike couldn't be there unfortunately). We got together as Med had finally finished what, about a year and a half ago, started as a semi-joke...our own box set.

The Gibson Girls had a reunion of sorts towards the end of '04 after almost 14 years. We played once, and since Med had a studio set-up in his basement, decided to record a couple of songs we had never commited to tape. That lead to another couple of get togethers, as well as the idea of our very own box set collection! After all, we're all obsessive music fans and joke about this type of thing all of the time and tease each other about our personal musical fetishes, so why not have our own collection? Besides that, the band had never officially released anything and it was about time we each had our music saved on sort of disc so we wouldn't have to count on our old cassettes and VHS tapes.

And so, here we are...a special limited edition of 4...a 3 CD 1 DVD box set...Ozzie wrote 3 seperate essays, and Med wrote one. The booklet came out so great I wish I could show to everyone. Med is so proud he wants to send a copy to Rhino Records just to show it off. I'm lucky to have friends like these guys...
