I was lucky enough to hear this band at work today when someone played their stuff from their myspace page. They're from the northwest and they're called Fleet Foxes. How refreshing! The first track on their myspace page is worth the price of admission alone: White Winter Hymnal.
Beach Boys, church choirs, Neil Young, and probably a bunch of other hippy stuff. If you know the Bees from the Isle of Wight you'll know what I mean.
