Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip. I'm not a huge fan of contemporary hip hop, especially UK hip hop, but I really respect these guys. The lyrics are extremely right on and intelligent. And they'll always have my respect for name dropping Johnny Hartman in their most well known song, Thou Shalt Always Kill:
Ed Harcourt. There isn't anything revolutionary about Ed's music, but then sometimes you need to hear something you can count on. Plus, he had the two best looking side players at SxSW:
