Blue Note Records - the store

I recently spent a weekend in Miami Beach which we do every year or two. In Fort Lauderdale is a record dealer named Bob Perry who had a store in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area called Blue Note Records for about 25 years. The above photo is how the store looked when I first discovered it. He closed the store a few years ago, but still sells online, and by appointment, if you call him. Before opening the store, I believe he did regional promotion for Arista, and a few other majors, starting in the late 60's. So besides having great vinyl, Bob has amazing stories to share. He, and Leslie who works for him, are both EXTREMELY nice folks, and I always make sure to pay them a visit when I go down there.

The following is what I picked up, and just received in the mail today. They shipped it so I wouldn't have to schlep it on the flight home. Oh, and the prices are very reasonable. I paid more than $15 for only one of the titles listed below. Most of them were $5-$10 a piece.

If you're ever in South Florida, or need some help finding something, I highly recommend giving these folks a call. I can't say enough good things about them. You can reach them at (954) 961-3928‎.
