Don't trust anyone over 30

Happy(?) birthday to MTV. For better or (mostly) worse the television channel was born on this date 30 years ago. I was anticipating the beginning of the tenth grade, and my family didn't have cable TV yet - imagine that! We weren't alone. Where were you?
