We start off this week's MOTW selection's with this classic: 1994's A Great Day In Harlem, by Jean Bach, who passed away only this week. If you like classic jazz (and/or photography) this is a must-see. It tells the story of a day in 1958 when photographer Art Kane gathered as many well known jazz musicians as he could on a block in Harlem to take a photo for Esquire Magazine. Luckily, one of the musicians had a movie camera - the surviving footage leading to the making of this tremendous film.
