Just wanted to record the fact here that I met Adam Clayton, bass player from U2, last night on the upper westside. I can't get into the details about why we met because that would be telling, but I will say that it was in public, and on the up & up. Get your minds out of the gutters!
He was completely unassuming & very nice, but we only got to speak for a minute or two.
Now I haven't really been the biggest fan of the band for sometime (last album I really liked was the Joshua Tree in 1987), but I do respect them for the most part. They have a sense of humour about themselves which is always a big plus.
On the rock star meeting scale...this was pretty big. I'm glad it was a pleasant experience. I should've asked him if he wanted to grab a bite!
