Its official...

Borscht has agreed to play at the upcoming A7 show taking place at the Knitting Factory here in NYC on Dec. 6. Since Adam Nodelman has left the planet, I'll be taking his place on bass (gulp) along with original members Steve Veraja, Mike Oswald & Phil Franklin. To follow is all the info you could want, and more:

On Saturday December 6, 2008, Wendy Eager of Guillotine Magazine and
Bryan Swirsky of Complete Control NYC Booking & Management are hosting
a tribute to the infamous A7 Club in New York's Lower East Side, the
very same venue where the New York City Hardcore underground was born.
The event – entitled ONE BIG CROWD – will take place on all three
floors of the Knitting Factory NYC and will be running all day. We
will have more information as to what time doors will open and how
long the show will run plus stage times once all the bands have
confirmed.

Advance tickets can be purchased via Ticketweb at the link below for a
special Halloween-to-Election-Day presale price of $20.00 for the
event:

John Kelly from Urban Waste was kind enough to design a MySpace page
that will be completely interactive and updated on a daily basis once
it goes live. If you are in a band playing this event, PLEASE link to
this page and refer to it often as often as possible for updates. Send
us flyers and pictures. Help us build this page and make it home to
those that were there back in the day and a place to visit if you have
even the slightest passing interest in the era. Link is here:

A hardcore band, a friend of mine, Vic played bass. I think they were from Forest Hills.
