You Can Dance To Roxy In A Dream Home

I was inspired this morning by Lindsay posting the recent appearance of Roxy Music on Jonathan Ross on UK TV. The band's performance is pretty impressive for a unit that hasn't performed as such in...how many years? While posting the Roxy video, I also decided to include the video for the new Bryan Ferry single, "You Can Dance," from his latest album, Olympia, which is of course the occasion that has brought together the original Roxy line-up. I like it a lot. It's nice to see Bryan still has a healthy appreciation for the ladies. Find out more about the album here. Too bad it's not out until October.

Roxy reformed in 2002,or 2004 or something, they passed through NYC twice. They've continued to play a lot in Europe, with time off for Ferry's solo projects and mini-tours. I think the whole band appears on the new Ferry album, along with Brian Eno and an 'all-star' cast of musicians.

Thanks for the video, I had totally forgotten about the Ross show, how he was a big fan and requested the band play his last show.

Kicked myself for missing them (or was it just ferry ) in 1977 (?) but caught them, v.2, in 1979 (?) at the Palladium. Not great but worthy, good times.

You're lucky...I've never seen them. I'm hoping to see Ferry if he tours for this album - who knows how many he has left in him? What do you think of the new single?
